Patrick qualified at UCD as an electrical engineer and later studied economics and marketing on a Fulbright scholarship at Berkeley. Busy initially and recently in engineering, for much of his life he was involved in management, marketing and sales in all continents at a senior level up to MD and Chairman. He has consulted in Strategic Marketing as well as Energy sectors. He has sold and purchased various licensing agreements based both on know-how and patents a number of times in Ireland, US, Germany, UK, Saudi Arabia and Australia and has been involved in establishing franchisees in the UK. At present he mentors for Enterprise Ireland and is involved in two start-ups, an HPSU in software and wave technology.
