U.S. Embassy in Ireland Application for Membership of Youth Council 2016-2017
The U.S. Embassy in Ireland established the Youth Council in December 2013 as part of the Global Youth Initiative supported by the U.S. State Department. The Council has up to 75 members, aged 18 – 25 years old. The new term begins in 2016 and members serve on the Council for a one year term, with the option of renewing for a second one year term.Council members participate in networking, professional development and community service projects throughout the year. Members are invited to participate in Embassy events of interest. The Council advise the Embassy on issues facing young people in Ireland and provide input into policy issues related to the U.S.-Irish relationship.

*All applicants must be aged 18 – 25 years old and be ordinarily resident in Ireland.
*Application forms, resumes and references, where requested, are due in either Word or Adobe pdf format by 5pm on Thursday, January 14, 2016 to keoghkm@state.gov.
